This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds apply to services provided by Avuno Technologies (Pty) Ltd ("Avuno", "we", "us"). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy.
1. Overview
Avuno provides two main types of service: once-off project work (websites, applications and automation) and monthly website care and hosting plans. Refunds are handled differently for each, as set out below.
2. Once-off project work
- The deposit secures your booking and covers the initial work (discovery, planning and early design). Once work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.
- If you cancel a project after work has started, you remain liable for the work completed up to that point; any amount you have paid beyond the value of that work will be refunded to you.
- If we are unable to deliver the work we agreed to, we will refund amounts paid for the undelivered portion.
3. Monthly care plans
- Care-plan fees are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period.
- When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the month you have already paid for and then simply does not renew. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time within a month.
4. Cooling-off period
Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 applies, you may have a seven-day cooling-off right on certain online transactions. This right does not apply to services that have already been performed, or that have begun with your consent, before the end of that period.
5. If something is not as described
If a paid deliverable is materially not as described, please tell us within a reasonable time. We will correct it or, where appropriate, provide a refund, in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@avuno.co.za with your name, the service concerned and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within five business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Paystack, normally within ten business days.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us first — we will always try to resolve it. Raising a chargeback with your bank without contacting us may delay resolution.
